Spark - The SynaTree Web Content FrameworkIntroducing Spark - The SynaTree Web Content Framework

Based on proven open-source technology and continually improved and extended by our team, Spark is the ideal framework from which to build enterprise-class web infrastructure.

  • Content Management Where You Need It

Spark allows managers or users to modify and maintain information through an easy-to-use editor, and puts total control of your site into your hands. Administrators with a moderate level of technical ability can make large-scale changes to your sites in minutes. Adding and removing entire collections of content is incredibly intuitive and simple.

Although we are very proud of our Content Management framework, we also recognize that enterprise-class sites need more than just a WYSIWYG editor to achieve true "management" ability. Spark's front- and back-end come complete with tools to manage rich data, such as slide shows, content positioning, and more. Each of our custom components is designed with ease-of-management in mind, and utilize Web 2.0 Technologies like AJAX to make management more intuitive and easy to use.

  • Open Source Technology
Spark is based on the industry leading Open Source Content Management System, Joomla!. Joomla! is used by thousands of websites around the web, and has been adopted and extended by our team to create Spark. Our improvements run the gamut from bug fixes and feature enhancements to custom modules and components. Best of all, because Joomla! is Open Source, so is Spark.
  • Extensible
While many frameworks claim to be extensible, many never live up to their own potential. Spark is different. SynaTree continually extends and adapts Spark to the needs of each of our customers, and makes the improvements available to all of our customers, past and present. In this way, over time your site will actually gain new features and abilities without additional cost.

Our Philosophy

In a nutshell, do the right thing.

We strive to create long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients.

We want to discover your business goals and provide effective solutions by leveraging technology and applying intelligent and creative design. We provide solutions that make sense and will evolve with your business in a process of ongoing improvement.

We like to utilize Open Source software solutions when it fits our clients needs. In many cases open source solutions are equally as effective as licensed solutions at a much lower cost. Whether it is open source, or licensed software, our goal is to find the best solution for our clients.

Ride The Elevator

Going Up?Internet Technology is a moving target. The industry advances every day, and SynaTree works tirelessly to keep up with the latest trends and technologies. As our customer, you benefit from our ongoing improvement program in several ways: First, your site is automatically updated to include all of the latest security updates, feature upgrades, and other improvements as they are deployed to our other customers.

Second, as we develop new technologies and features, they become available to our existing customers at a fraction of their usual cost or at no cost.

Our pricing model is unique and we are extremely proud of our system. It enables us to focus on developing quality, reusable components that serve the needs of many clients rather than just one or a few.  In the web development industry, the common model is to spend time and resources developing a product internally, then sell that product multiple times to multiple customers in the hope of recovering the development cost.  SynaTree has a few issues with this approach, which led to the development of our unconventional model:

  1. It forces developers to skimp on real development time, encouraging them to cut corners in order to finish quickly and earn a ROI more rapidly.
  2. It discourages updating and improving existing products in favor of selling the same thing over and over,
  3. It discourages retaining technical resources in favor of marketing resources after the initial development is done
For these reasons and others, SynaTree embraces a system that encourages development based on real business need rather than marketing opportunity, places an emphasis on quality rather than speed, and keeps programming resources working consistently, which helps to keep us on top of the latest trends and technologies.
