treeMany Branches On A Single Tree

All technology is related.  Today, the database has moved to the web, the web has moved to the phone, and the desktop has moved to the cloud.  You need a partner who understands the interconnected nature of today's technologies.

I began my lifelong love of computers when I was 8 years old, when my Dad introduced me to AutoCAD.  He had a drawing of the Earth in fairly good detail on his old 80268, and I loved Zooming In on the smallest of details, moving the continents, seeing how they fit together.  It instilled in me the notion that computers can bring about inspiration and understanding, sometimes in very non-linear ways.  My first foray into programming was writing small applications on a TI-82 calculator, to help my Dad with routine calculations at work.

Those early experiences with computers grew into a fascination with making software, first in DOS and on the Apple II using BASIC, then with increasingly sophisticated tools until I learned HTML in 1994.  HTML was the easiest way to make things that really looked like applications, and I was hooked right away.  Throughout High School, I did everything I could to learn more about software, from studying C++ and continuing to polish my HTML skills, to learning JavaScript, SH, and a host of other languages that nobody really uses anymore.

When I was a senior in High School, I started the first of several small businesses.

Learning Experiences followed.

SynaTree's first incarnation was founded in 2007 as SynaTree Internet Growth Strategies, LLC.  I focused my energy on creating a custom version of the Joomla! Content Management Program I call Spark.  In late 2010, I shortened the name just to SynaTree and changed my focus again, and am now spending some of my energy on translating the successes of the Spark platform to Joomla! components and modules for commerical sale, and developing products for specialized markets.

Another huge change was the addition of my brother Michael to the SynaTree team.  Michael brings a tremendous wealth of experience and a whole different perspective to our work.

Although I attended the University of Pittsburgh, my real experience and expertise have come from 10+ years of constant immersion in the technology of the web, especially as it applies to real-world problems.

I hope you decide to contact SynaTree about your project, whatever it may be.  I can guarantee that we will be able to point you in the right direction, if nothing else.  I look forward to working with you!

Michael got his start as a scientist working in materials analysis and analytical chemistry.   After working in the Mine Safety industry for several years, Michael decided he was ready to add more skills to his repertoire.  Michael earned his JD and was admitted to the PA Bar, but never lost touch with his science roots and lifelong interest in technology.

Throughout his career, Michael has found innovative ways to utilize database technologies to power his research, his law practice, and anything else he involves himself in.  At SynaTree, Michael is responsible for designing and building complex data architectures for our Applications Development and Database clients.  More importantly, however, Michael and David form a complimentary team who tackle challenges together, each from their own perspective.

Michael's broad range of qualifications and skills are an invaluable asset to any client who engages with SynaTree.
